In a Friday the 13th season opener, the Kahnawake Mohawks will face off against crosstown rivals, the Caughnawaga Indians. The Mohawks are looking for something to prove in 2016 as they lost the 2015 QSLL championship to the Ottawa Axemen. Tonight will be interesting to see which players are graduating from the junior B ranks. The Indians are returning after a one hiatus in the Three Nations lacrosse league. These two teams have a competitive history between the two and the battle of Kahnawake should be interesting to watch at the Kahnawake Sports Complex at 8:00PM.
Saturday May 14 will see the host Tyendinaga Thunderbirds take on the St. Regis Braves. The Thunderbirds are in their inaugural season, under a new logo. The Braves are returning from a two year sabbatical in the TNLL. This should be an interesting game to see the compete level that each team has to offer their fans. The game will be held at 6:00PM at the Deseronto Community Center.
Sunday May 15 sees the 2015 Presidents Cup Silver Medalists and 2015 Quebec Senior Lacrosse League champions, the Capital Region Axemen, host the Caughnawaga Indians at 4:00PM at the Howard Darwin Centennial Arena.
