The Axemen return to action Saturday night in their final regular season game of the year against the high scoring Tyendinaga Thunderbirds.
The T-Birds come to town with a strong offence consisting of NLL All Pro 1st Team Forward Mark Matthews, NLL All Pro 2nd Team Forward Shayne Jackson, New England Wolves Forward Seth Oakes, Rochester Knighthawks Transition Adam Bomberry and the 2015 QSLL scoring champion and former Axemen, Tim Bergin.
They will be looking to avenge their 14-11 loss to the Axemen on June 25th and gain some ground on the first place St. Regis Braves.
The Axemen are coming off another tight two goal loss to the Mohawks in front of a huge home crowd last Saturday and are hoping to close out the regular season with a win and some momentum heading into the QSLL Playoffs.
Nepean Minor Lacrosse has challenged Gloucester Minor to a food drive competition at the game. All minor lacrosse players are free, so bring your non-perishable food and your cheering to Howard Darwin (Merivale) Arena Saturday night at 7pm for another great game.
