The Capital Region Axemen swept the Kahnawake Mohawks in the QSLL Finals to clinch a spot in the 2018 Presidents Cup.
Jason Crooke led the way with 1 goal and 3 assists for the Axemen. Blake Kenny and Aaron Forster added 2 goals each in a balanced attack that saw 11 different Axemen score goals. Brett Perras turned away 20 of 22 shots from the Mohawks.
Blake Kenny also received his QSLL scoring title award as he finished the regular season with a whopping 74 points in 13 games (34G, 40A) in his return to the Axemen.
The Presidents Cup tournament is hosted by the Nanaimo Timbermen and begins August 26th in B.C. Full details of the 7 day tourney can be found here.
